Laminate flooring is made up of multiple layers of fibre board material and melamine resin with the top layer having a printed textured image designed to look like real wood.

 

Laminate flooring has a tongue and grove system meaning it clicks together when being installed. A small 1-10mm expansion gap is required between the flooring and immovable objects such as walls and worktops to allow for the laminate to expand due to the temperature of the room without damaging or bowing the laminate. Beading is added round the edged or skirting boards can be taken off and fitted on top of the laminate to give a seamless finish.

 

To keep your laminate flooring looking fresh Woodfellas recommend using a laminate cleaning spray and a Swiffer mop as it will keep from excess water damage which you would experience from over mopping with a standard mop and bucket.
